The “SUFFERING SERVANT” In Isaiah Chapter 53
Why it is NOT Jesus according to what the Scripture says?
In Hosea 11:1 (misquoted in NT – Matthew 2:15) it reads:
For, when Israel was young, I loved him, and from Egypt I called My son.
Here’s more:
And you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘So said the Lord, “My firstborn son is Israel.” ‘
So I say to you, ‘Send out My son so that he will worship Me, but if you refuse to
send him out, behold, I am going to slay your firstborn son.’ ”
Exodus 4:22-23
If the “Son of God” according to the Scripture is NOT Jesus, who is the SERVANT in Isaiah 53 (v. 11)?
Let us find out…
READ:
But you, Israel My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham,
who loved Me,
Whom I grasped from the ends of the earth, and from its nobles I called you, and
I said to you, “You are My servant”; I chose you and I did not despise you.
Isaiah 41:8-9
“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “and My servant whom I chose,” in order
that you know and believe Me, and understand that I am He; before Me no god
was formed and after Me none shall be.
I, I am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.
43:10-11
And now, hearken, Jacob My servant, and Israel whom I have chosen.
44:1
Remember these, O Jacob; and Israel, for you are My servant; I formed you that you be a servant to Me, Israel, do not forget Me.
