Shoftim
Judges chronicles the history of the Israelites during the period between the conquest of the Land of Israel and the establishment of the monarchy. It contains accounts of the heroic deeds of various judges who led and rescued the Israelites from their enemies.
The book also provides valuable insights into the spiritual and moral challenges faced by the Israelites during that time. The cycle of sin is clearly seen in the book of Judges (Shoftim in Hebrew).
Chapter 17
Chapter 17 of Judges Insinuates on Self Beliefs or Judgment Between Good and Evil Without G-d’s Torah as Its Basis
Doing What Is Right According To Your Own Eyes
This is the danger for majority of the people.
Adding to it, that each one has his own belief.
*This only proves that G-d’s commandments cannot be annulled or abolished!
But the Greek book – New Testament teaches otherwise because of Jesus and the Trinity or Triune G-d, leading to idol worship.
“Micah’s (Micajehu’s) Molten Image”
There was a man from Mount Ephraim whose name was Micajehu.
17:1
He returned the eleven hundred [pieces of] silver to his mother, but his mother said, “I had resolved to consecrate the money for Hashem from my hand to my son to make a carved image and a molten image, so now I will give it back to you.”
17:3
The man Micah had a house of idolatry; he made an ephod and icons, and he installed one of his sons to be his priest.

(In those days there was no king in Israel; a man would do whatever seemed proper in his eyes.)

There was a lad from Beth-lehem of Judah, of the family of Judah; he was a Levite, but he lived there.
:7
Micah said to him, “Stay with me, and be a father and a priest for me. I will give you ten [pieces of] silver a year, a set of clothes and your livelihood.” So the Levite went [in].
:10
Micah installed the Levite, and the lad became his priest, and he remained in Micah’s house.

Micah thought, “Now I know that Hashem will be good to me, for this Levite has become my priest.”

1 Now there was a man from the mountain of Ephraim, and his name was Micahyahu.
2 And he said to his mother, “The eleven hundred pieces of silver that were taken from you, and (about which) you did curse, and you also spoke (it) in my ears. Behold the silver is with me, I took it.” And his mother said, “Blessed be my son to the Lord.”
3 And he restored the eleven hundred pieces of silver to his mother. And his mother said, “I have dedicated the silver before the Lord from my hand for my son to make a graven image and a molten one, and now I will restore it to you.”
4 And he restored the money to his mother. And his mother took two hundred pieces of silver, and gave them to the founder, and he made thereof a graven image and a molten one, and it was in the house of Micahyahu.
5 Now the man Micah had a house of idolatry. And he made an ephod and teraphim, and initiated one of his sons, who became his priest.
6 In those days (there was) no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his eyes.
7 And there was a lad from Beth-lehem in Judah, of the family of Judah, and he was a Levite, and he sojourned there.
8 And the man went out of the city, out of Beth-lehem in Judah, to sojourn where he could find (a place). And he came to the mountain of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, (while continuing) to make his way.
9 And Micah said to him, “From where do you come?” And he said to him “I am a Levite from Beth-lehem in Judah, and I go to sojourn where I may find (a place).”
10 And Micah said to him, “Dwell with me, and be to me an instructor and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver for the period, and a wardrobe of clothing with your provisions.” And the Levite followed.
11 And the Levite was content to dwell with the man. And the lad was to him as one of his sons.
12 And Micah initiated the Levite, and the lad became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
13 And Micah said, “Now I know that the Lord will be good to me, because I had a Levite as my priest.”
