THE PROPHETS
Joshua
Yehoshua
The Book of Joshua, in the Hebrew-Jewish Bible, narrates the entry of the Children of Israel into the Promised Land of Canaan and their conquest and partition of the land under the leadership of Joshua, as Moses’ successor. It details the Israelites’ miraculous crossing of the Jordan River, the fall of Jericho, the battles of Ai and Gibeon, and the division of the land among the twelve tribes. Joshua resonates with Moses, in which he exhorts the Israelites to remain faithful to G-d and His commandments.

Chapter 15 of Joshua Continues on Matters of the Land but wait…
Did You Know?
That the Oral Law states that had the Israelites not sinned, only six books would have been included in the Hebrew Scripture (Old Testament) — The Torah and Joshua.
If such is the case, it is out of question that the Greek book – New Testament is never part of the Holy Scriptures for many reasons.
1. It was not written in Hebrew.
2. It teaches contrary to the 613 Mitzvot or Commandments.
3. It introduced other god – Jesus and the Trinity.
4. & the list goes on…
“The Territory of Judah”
“Border Towards East, West, North and South”
“The Inheritance of Caleb”
“The Wilderness of Judah”
The lot for the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was up to the border of Edom, the Wilderness of Zin southward, at the southernmost edge.
15:1
To Caleb son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the Children of Judah in accordance with Hashem’s word to Joshua — Kiriath-arba, the father of the Anakim, which is Hebron.
:13
Caleb said, “Whoever smites Kiriath-sefer and conquers it, I shall give him my daughter Achsah as a wife.”
:16
Othniel son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, conquered it; so he gave him his daughter Achsah as a wife.
:17
But the Jebusite, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Children of Judah were not able to drive out; and the Jebusite dwelled among the children of Judah, in Jerusalem, until this day.
:63
1 And these are the cities which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.
2 By lot was their inheritance, as the Lord commanded through Moses, for the nine tribes and for the half tribe.
3 For Moses had given the inheritance of two tribes and a half tribe on the other side of the Jordan, but to the Levites he gave no inheritance among them.
4 For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim, but they gave no part to the Levites, in the land, save cities to dwell in, and the open land about them, for their cattle and for their flocks.
5 As the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did, and they divided the land.
6 Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal; and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, “You know the thing that the Lord spoke to Moses the man of God concerning me and concerning you in Kadesh- barnea.
7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord, sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land; and I brought him back word as it was in my heart.
8 And my brothers that went up with me, made the heart of the people melt; but I fulfilled the will of the Lord my God.
9 And Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land upon which your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance, and your children’s forever, because you have fulfilled the will of the Lord my God.’
10 And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He spoke, these forty-five years, from the time the Lord spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness; and now, behold, I am this day eighty-five years old.
11 I am still as strong this day as I was on the day that Moses sent me; as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
12 And now, give me this mountain, of which the Lord spoke on that day, for you heard on that day how the ‘Anakim were there, and that the cities were big and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as the Lord spoke.”
13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.
14 Hebron, therefore, became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he fulfilled the will of the Lord God of Israel.
15 And the name of Hebron before was Kirjath-arba (the city of Arba); Arba was the greatest man among the ‘Anakim. And the land had rest from war.
