On Daily Holy Bible Reading

IYOV

The Book of Iyov (Job) in the Hebrew Bible.

Right at the heart of the age-old question: Why do bad people prosper while good people suffer?

This is a clear test of one’s worth to be blessed by G-d.

The book begs the question WHY?

Job Challenges His Friends In Contrast With G-d

Should G-d existence is a mere fairy tale (G-d forbid), life will have no purpose at all.

For G-d alone is sovereign in all things. Since the beginning until eternity…

Atheists do not exist. For it is their disappointment against G-d that caused them to rebel and refute His omnipotence.

“Job Comparing His Friends With G-d”

My spirit is devastated, my days have rushed by; graves await me,
17:1
He has made me a byword for nations; I have become [the embodiment] of hell to people.
:6
Where, then, is my hope? Who can discern my hope?
:15

1 My spirit has been destroyed, my days flicker; graves are ready for me,
2 even if there were no mockers with me, and in their provocation my eye [did not] abide.
3 Pay heed now, give me surety with You, for who is it who will shake hands with me?
4 For You have hidden their hearts from understanding; therefore, You will not be exalted.
5 He who speaks to his friends with flattery-his children’s eyes will fail.
6 And it set me up as a byword for peoples, and I will be [like] a drum before them.
7 And my eye is dimmed from anger, and my limbs are all like a shadow.
8 The upright will be appalled by this, and an innocent one will be aroused against a hypocrite.
9 Yet the righteous holds on his way, and the one whose hands are clean grows stronger and stronger.
10 But all of them, [I say] you shall return and come now, and I will not find any wise man among you.
11 My days have passed, yea my purposes; the thoughts of my heart have been broken off.
12 They turn night into day; the light is short because of the darkness.
13 Since I hope for the grave as my house, in the darkness I have spread out my couch.
14 To the pit I have called, ‘You are my father’; ‘My mother,’ and ‘My sister,’ to the worms.
15 Where then is my hope? And as for my hope, who shall see it?
16 The limbs of the grave shall descend, even together they rest on the dust.”

Divine wisdom or Divine justice may not be evident during the test with hardship and suffering. But, full trust in G-d is the best response no matter how difficult the situation may be or become.
