“Prophecy Of Nebuchadnezzar’s World Dominion”

Thus said Hashem to me: “Make yourself straps and bars and put them on your neck.
27:2
… Thus said Hashem, Master of Legions, God of Israel: Thus shall you say to your masters: ‘I made the earth — with the man and the animal that are on the face of the earth — with My great strength and with My outstretched hand, and I gave it to whomever was fitting in My eyes.
:4-5
And now I have delivered all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylonia, My servant: I have even delivered the beast of the field to him to serve him.
:6
You should not listen to your prophets and to your magicians and to your dreamers and to your wizards and sorcerers, who are telling you, “Do not serve the king of Babylonia.” For they are prophesying falsehood to you, …
:9-10
But any nation that puts its neck into the yoke of the king of Babylonia and serves him — I shall allow them to stay upon their land — the word of Hashem — and they will work it and live there.’”
:11
Do not listen to the words of the prophets who tell you, saying, ‘Do not serve the king of Babylonia,’ for they are prophesying falsely in My Name, in order that I should disperse you, so that you and your prophets who prophesy to you will be lost.”
:14
Do not listen to them! Serve the king of Babylonia and live; why should this city become destroyed?
:17
And if they [really] are prophets and if the word of Hashem is [really] with them, let them now beseech Hashem, Master of Legions, that the articles which remain in the Temple of Hashem and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be brought to Babylonia.
:18
They will be brought to Babylonia and they will be there until the day that I attend to them — the word of Hashem — when I shall bring them up and return them to this place.
:22

“The Charlatan Prophecies And Its End”

… Hananiah son of Azzur the [false] prophet from Gibeon said to me in the Temple of Hashem, before the eyes of the priests and all the people, saying, “Thus said Hashem, Master of Legions, God of Israel, saying: ‘I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylonia!
28:1-2
Jeremiah the prophet said, “Amen, may Hashem do so! May Hashem fulfill your words that you prophesied, to return the articles of the Temple of Hashem and the exile from Babylonia to this place!
:6
The prophets who were before me and before you, from ancient times, used to prophesy about many lands and about great kingdoms — for war and for evil and for pestilence.
:8
When a prophet speaks of peace, it is [only] when the word of that prophet comes true that it is known that that prophet was indeed sent by Hashem.”
:9
The word of Hashem came to Jeremiah after Hananiah the prophet had broken off the bar from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying: “Go and say to Hananiah: Thus said Hashem: You have broken wooden bars, but you will make metal bars in their place!
:12-13
For thus said Hashem, Master of Legions, God of Israel: I have placed an iron yoke upon the neck of all these nations, to serve Nabuchadnezzar king of Babylonia, and they shall serve him; even the beast of the field have I given him.”
:14
Jeremiah the prophet then said to Hananiah the prophet, “Hear now, Hananiah! Hashem did not send you, and you have reassured this people with lie.
:15
Therefore, thus said Hashem: Behold, I am casting you off from the face of the earth. You shall die this year, for you have spoken a falsehood in the name of Hashem.”
:16
Hananiah the prophet died that year, in the seventh month.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
