Isaiah Chapter 9 on Its True Context. And It’s Not About Jesus or Messiah

Here Is Another Messianic Prophecy (But Only According To Christians) That Talks About Jesus

Verse 5 in the Hebrew Bible (verse 6 in Christian’s Old Testament).

Little that they know that it is about Hezekiah king of Judah.

Now, who knows the Hebrew language far better? The Jews? Or the Christians?

You do not have to be intelligent to know the answer. Right?

*Check Zechariah 8:23 if in doubt still.

“G-d’s Salvation”
“Those Who Mislead…”

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelled in the land of the shadow of death, light has shone upon them.
9:1
For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us, and the dominion will rest on his shoulder; the Wondrous Adviser, Mighty God, Eternal Father, called [Hezekiah’s] name Sar-shalom [Prince of Peace];
:5
upon the one with the greatness in dominion and the boundless peace that will prevail on the throne of David and on his kingdom, to establish it and sustain it through justice and righteousness, from now to eternity. The zealousness of Hashem, Master of Legions, will accomplish this!
:6
The word [that] the Lord has sent for Jacob will befall Israel.
:7
Aram from the east and the Philistines from the west, they have consumed Israel with every mouth. Yet despite this, His anger has not subsided and His hand is still outstretched.
:11
But the the people has not returned to the One Who smites it; they do not seek Hashem, Master of Legions.
:12
The guides of this people mislead, and the guided ones are corrupted.
:15
Therefore, my Lord shall not rejoice over His young men, and He shall not pity His orphans and widows, for they are all hypocritical and evil, and every mouth utters degeneracy. Yet despite all this, His anger has not subsided and His hand is still outstretched.
:16
For [their] wickedness will burn [them] like the fire; it will consume thorns and weeds, and will kindle the branches of the forest; they will be overcome by the intensity of the smoke.
:17
Manasseh is against Ephraim, Ephraim is against Manasseh, [but] they are both together against Judah. Yet despite this, His anger has not subsided and His hand is still outstretched.
:20

1 The people who walked in darkness, have seen a great light; those who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, light shone upon them.
2 You have aggrandized this nation; you have magnified the joy for them; they have rejoiced over You like the joy of harvest, as they rejoice when they divide spoils.
3 For, the yoke of his burden and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of the one who oppressed him have You broken, as on the day of Midian.
4 For every victory shout sounds with clamor, and garments wallow in blood, but this shall be burnt, consumed by fire.
5 For a child has been born to us, a son given to us, and the authority is upon his shoulder, and the wondrous adviser, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, called his name, “the prince of peace.”
6 To him who increases the authority, and for peace without end, on David’s throne and on his kingdom, to establish it and to support it with justice and with righteousness; from now and to eternity, the zeal of the Lord of Hosts shall accomplish this.
7 The Lord has sent a word against Jacob, and it has fallen in Israel.
8 And the entire people shall know- Ephraim and the dwellers of Samaria-[the fallacy of what they spoke] with haughtiness and with arrogance, saying,
9 “Bricks have fallen, and hewn stones we will build; sycamores have been cut down, and we will replace them with cedars.”
10 And the Lord strengthened the adversaries of Rezin over him, and his enemies He shall incite.
11 Aram from the east and the Philistines from the west, and they devoured Israel with every mouth; despite all this, His anger has not turned away, and His hand is still outstretched.
12 And the people has not returned to the One Who smites it, and the Lord of Hosts they have not sought.
13 And the Lord cut off from Israel a head and a tail, a large arch and a small arch in one day.
14 An elder and a man of esteem is the head, and a misleading prophet is the tail.
15 And the leaders of this people mislead, and those led by them are misled.
16 Therefore, over his youths, the Lord shall not rejoice, and on his orphans and his widows He shall not have mercy, for all of them are hypocrites and evil doers, and every mouth speaks obscene language; despite all this, His anger has not turned away, and His hand is still outstretched.
17 For wickedness has burnt like fire, and thorns shall consume them, and it kindled in the thickets of the forest, and they have become entangled by the thickening smoke.
18 By the wrath of the Lord of Hosts, the smoke has reached the earth, and the people has become like a conflagration of fire; no one has pity on his fellow-man.
19 And he snatched on the right and is still hungry, and he ate on the left and they are not sated; each one eats the flesh of his arm.
20 Manasseh with Ephraim, and Ephraim with Manasseh, together they shall [unite] against Judah; despite all this, His anger has not turned away, and His hand is still outstretched.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
