Ezekiel Chapter 6 on Recurring Idol Worship issue in the entirety of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament)

Ezekiel On Idol Worship

“I” means “One”; not 3-in-1

You may read Isaiah chapter 45 if you do not understand Exodus Chapter 20

If you worship any other, aside from G-d Himself alone, that is Idol Worship!

“Idol Worship And The Wrath Of G-d”

Say, Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Hashem/Elohim! Thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys: Behold, I am bringing the sword against you and I will destroy your high places.
6:3
Desolate will your altars be, and broken will your sun-images be, and I will cast down your slain before your idols.
:6
Corpses will fall in your midst, and you will know that I am Hashem.
:7
and your survivors will remember Me among the nations where they were taken captive, how I was anguished by their straying heart that turned away from Me and by their eyes that strayed after their idols; then they will be disgusted with themselves for the evils they did through all their abominations.
:9
Then they will know that I am Hashem, that I did not speak in vain about doing this evil to them.
:10
Then you will know that I am Hashem, when their corpses will be among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the mountaintops and under every leafy tree and under every thick elm — the place where they offered the savor of pleasing aroma to all their idols.
:13

1 The word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 “Son of man, direct your face toward the mountains of Israel and prophesy to them.
3 And you shall say; ‘O mountains of Israel, hearken to the word of the Lord God. So said the Lord God to the mountains and to the hills, to the rivulets and to the valleys: Behold I bring upon you the sword, and I shall destroy your high places.
4 And your altars will become desolate, and your sun gods will be broken, and I shall cast your slain ones before your idols.
5 And I shall lay the corpses of the children of Israel before their idols, and I shall scatter your bones around your altars.
6 In all your dwelling places, the cities will be laid waste and the high places will become desolate, in order that your altars be laid waste and shown to be guilty, and your idols will be broken and abolished and your sun gods will be cut down, and your works will be obliterated.
7 And the slain will fall in your midst, and you will know that I am the Lord.
8 But I shall leave a remnant insofar as you will have people among the nations who will escape the sword, when you are scattered in the lands.
9 And those of you that escape will remember Me among the nations where they were captured, that I yielded to their straying heart which turned away from Me and to their eyes that strayed after their idols, and they will quarrel with themselves about the evils that they did in addition to all their abominations.
10 And they will know that I am the Lord; not for naught have I spoken to do this evil to them.
11 So said the Lord God: Strike with your hand and stamp with your foot, and say, “Ah!” about all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, who will fall by the sword, through famine, and through pestilence.
12 The one who is far away will die of the pestilence, and the one who is near will fall by the sword, and the one who survives and who is in the siege, will die of hunger, and I shall spend My fury on them.
13 And you will know that I am the Lord when their slain ones will be among their idols, around their altars, upon every hill of height, on all mountaintops and under every leafy tree and under every branchy terebinth, a place where they offered up a satisfying savor to all their idols.
14 I shall extend My hand upon them, and I shall make the land a desolation and an astonishment -[starting] from the desert of Diblah-in all their dwelling places, and they shall know that I am the Lord.’ “

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
