“Prophecy Against Egypt And Her Allies”

The word of Hashem came to me, saying, “Son of Man, prophesy and say: Thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim: Wail, ‘Woe for the day!’
30:1-2
For the day is close, the day of Hashem is close, a cloudy day; it will be a time for the nations.
30:3
The sword will come against Egypt, and there will be a trembling in Cush when the slain fall in Egypt, when they take away her multitude and her foundations are broken.
:4
For thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim: I will cause the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylonia.
:10
Thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim: I will destroy the idols and cause the false gods to cease from Noph; there will never again be a ruler from the land of Egypt, and I will instill fear over the land of Egypt.
:13
I will pour out My wrath upon Sin, the stronghold of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitudes of No.
:15
I will execute judgments in Egypt; then they will know that I am Hashem.”
:19
It happened in the eleventh year, in the first [month], on the seventh of the month, that the word of Hashem came to me, saying,
:20
“Son of Man: I have [already] broken an arm of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and behold, it has not been bound up to provide healing, to place a bandage, to bind it up, to strengthen it, so that it might grasp a sword.
:21
I will scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse them among the lands.
:23
I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylonia and put My sword in his hand; and I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him with the groans of the slain.
:24
I will support the arms of the king of Babylonia, but the arms of Pharaoh will drop; then they will know that I am Hashem, …
:25

1 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 “Son of man, prophesy and say; So said the Lord God: Wail ‘Ha!’ for the day.
3 For the day is near; yea the day that is near is the Lord’s, a cloudy day it will be the time of the nations.
4 And a sword will come upon Egypt, and there will be quaking in Cush when the slain fall in Egypt, and they will take her multitude, and her foundations will be broken down.
5 Cush and Put, Lud and all who support her, and Kub and the people of the allied land will fall with them by the sword.
6 So said the Lord: The supporters of Egypt will fall, and the pride of her power will descend; from Migdol to Syene they will fall in her by the sword, says the Lord God.
7 And they shall be desolate in the midst of desolate lands, and his cities shall be in the midst of ruined cities.
8 And they will know that I am the Lord when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers will be broken.
9 On that day, emissaries will come out from before Me with legions to frighten Cush, which was secure, and there shall be a quaking in them like the day of Egypt, for behold it is coming.
10 So said the Lord God: I shall make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon.
11 He and his people with him-the strong of the nations-will be brought to destroy the land, and they will draw their swords upon Egypt and fill the land with the slain.
12 And I shall make the rivers dry and I shall sell the land into the hands of evil ones, and I shall make the land and its fullness desolate in the hands of strangers; I, the Lord, have spoken.
13 So said the Lord God: I shall destroy pagan deities and cause idols to cease from Nof, and there will no longer be a prince from the land of Egypt, and I shall cast fear into the land of Egypt.
14 And I shall make Pathros desolate, and I shall set a fire in Zoan, and I shall execute punishments in No.
15 And I shall spill My fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt, and I shall cut off the multitude of No.
16 And I shall set a fire in Egypt; Sin will quake and No will be ready to split, and Nof-adversaries will attack her daily.
17 The youths of Aven and Pi-beseth will fall by the sword, and they will go into captivity.
18 And in Tehaphnehes the day will withdraw itself when I break there the bars of Egypt, and the pride of her strength will be ended in her: as for her, a cloud will cover her, and her daughters will go into captivity.
19 And I shall execute judgments upon Egypt, and they will know that I am the Lord.”
20 Now it came about in the eleventh year, in the first [month], on the seventh of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and behold, it was not bound to promote healing, to place a bandage [upon it], binding it to strengthen it to grasp a sword.
22 Therefore, so said the Lord God: Behold I am against Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and I shall break his arms, the strong one and the broken one, and I shall cause the sword to fall from his hand.
23 And I shall scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and I shall disperse them throughout the lands.
24 And I shall strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and I shall give My sword into his hand, and I shall break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan the groans of the slain before him.
25 And I shall grasp the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh will fall, and they will know that I am the Lord when I give My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will stretch it out over the land of Egypt.
26 And I shall scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and I shall disperse them among the lands, and they will know that I am the Lord.”

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
