“Prophecies Against The Nations That Clap Their Hands For The Downfall Of The Jews”
The word of Hashem came to me, saying, “Son of Man, direct your face towards the Children of Ammon and prophesy against them.
25:2
Say to the Children of Ammon: Hear the word of the Lord Hashem/Elohim! Thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim: Because you said ‘Hurrah!’ of My Sanctuary when it was desecrated, and of the soil of Israel when it was laid waste, and of the House of Judah when they went into exile,
25:3
For thus said the Lord, Hashem/Elohim: Because you clapped [your] hand and stamped with [your] foot and rejoiced with all your rashness of soul over the soil of Israel,
:6
therefore, behold, I will extend My hand against you and present you as spoils to the nations; I will eliminate you from the peoples and make you perish from among the lands. I will destroy you; then you will know that I am Hashem.
:7
Thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim: Because Moab and Seir say, ‘Behold, the House of Judah is like all the nations’, therefore, behold, I will expose the flank of Moab, from the cities, from its cities at its border — …
:8-9
Thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim: Because Edom acted in wreaking vengeance against the House of Judah, and has incurred guilt by taking vengeance against them, therefore, thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim: I will extend My hand against Edom and eliminate from it man and animal, …
:12-13
Then I will place My vengeance in Edom by the hand of My people Israel, and they will deal with Edom in accordance with My anger and My wrath; then they will know My vengeance — the word of the Lord Hashem/Elohim.
:14
Thus said the Lord Hashem/Elohim: Because the Philistines have acted with vengeance, and they wreaked vengeance with rashness of soul, to destroy with everlasting hatred,
:15
I will execute great vengeance against them with rebukes of wrath; and they will know that I am Hashem, when I place My vengeance upon them.
:17
1 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 “Son of man, set your face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy about them.
3 And you shall say to the children of Ammon; Hearken to the word of the Lord God: So said the Lord God: Because you said, ‘Aha!’ about My sanctuary for it was possessed, and about the soil of Israel for it became desolate, and about the house of Judah for they went into exile.
4 Therefore, behold I am delivering you to the children of the East as a possession, and they will settle their palaces in you, and they will set up their dwellings in you; they will eat your fruit, and they will drink your milk.
5 And I shall make Rabbah into a dwelling place for camels and the children of Ammon for a couching place for flocks, and you will know that I am the Lord.
6 For so said the Lord God: Because you clapped with your hand and stamped with your foot, and you rejoiced with all the disdain of your soul about the soil of Israel,
7 Therefore, behold I have stretched forth My hand upon you, and I have given you for plunder to the nations, I have cut you off from the peoples and I shall make you perish from among the lands; I shall destroy you, and you will know that I am the Lord.
8 So said the Lord God: Because Moab and Seir said, “Behold the house of Judah is like all the nations,”
9 Therefore, behold I will expose the flank of Moab from the cities, from his cities of his frontier; the beautiful country of Bethjeshimoth, Baal Maon and Kiriathaim,
10 To the children of the East against the children of Ammon. And I shall give it as an inheritance, in order that the children of Ammon shall not be remembered among the nations.
11 And upon Moab, I shall perform judgments, and they will know that I am the Lord.
12 So said the Lord God: Because of what Edom did when I took revenge on the house of Judah-and they were guilty and took revenge on them,
13 Therefore, so said the Lord God: I shall stretch forth My hand upon Edom, and I shall cut off from her both man and beast, and I shall lay it waste from the south, and Dedan will fall by the sword.
14 And I shall lay My revenge upon Edom by the hand of My people Israel, and they will do to Edom according to My wrath and according to My fury, and they will know my vengeance, says the Lord God.
15 So said the Lord God: Because the Philistines acted with vengeance and took revenge with [the] disdain of [their] soul to destroy for the hatred of old.
16 Therefore, so said the Lord God: Behold I stretch forth My hand upon the Philistines, and I shall cut off the Cherethites and destroy the survivors on the seacoast.
17 And I shall wreak great acts of vengeance with rebukes of fury, and they will know that I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon them.
