Ezekiel Chapter 10

THE PROPHETS

EZEKIEL

YECHEZKEL

“The Heart Of Flesh”
“The Vision Of The Dry Bones”
“Hashem Is There”

These and more… you will learn in this book.

Yes, on its accounts it is another book of tragedy. But Ezekiel is the prophet of hope and triumph.

After G-d abandoned His people (The Jews), He will pluck Israel from the nations. To bring them back to its home.

Chapter 10

Ezekiel Chapter 10 Can Answer the Question Who is Making Things Up

Ezekiel In Reminiscent Of The Vision In Chapter One

Orthodox Jewish rabbis do not assume or claim they know what the meaning of such vision is; but rather admit that the vision is beyond human comprehension.

Along comes Christian church fathers, founders, pastors and preachers oozing with the audacity claiming they know.

What a pity. Knowing they can’t even read Hebrew.

“The Cherubim”

The Cherubim were standing to the right of the Temple when the man came; and a cloud filled the inner courtyard.
10:3
Then the glory of Hashem rose up from upon the Cherub [and rested] upon the threshold of the Temple; and the Temple was filled with the cloud, and the courtyard was filled with the glow of the Glory of Hashem.
:4
And the sound of the wings of the Cherubim was heard up to the outer courtyard, like the voice of El Shaddai when He speaks.
:5
The glory of Hashem then went forth from upon the threshold of the Temple and stood upon the Cherubim.
:18
… and the glory of the God of Israel was upon them from above.
:19
This was the Chayah that I had seen beneath the God of Israel at the River Chebar; I realized that they were Cherubim.
:20
Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings, and there was the form of human hands beneath their wings.
:21

1 And I saw, and behold on the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim, [a thing] like a sapphire stone; like the appearance of a throne appeared upon them.
2 And He said to the man clothed in linen, and He said, “Come between the wheels under the cherub, and fill your hands with fiery coals from the cherubim, and cast [them] upon the city,” and he came, before my eyes.
3 Now the cherubim were standing at the right of the House when the man came, and the cloud filled the inner court.
4 Then the glory of the Lord lifted itself from upon the cherub onto the threshold of the House, and the House was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the splendor of the glory of the Lord.
5 And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard until the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when He speaks.
6 And it came to pass when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from between the wheels, from among the cherubim,” he came and stood beside the wheel.
7 And the cherub extended his hand from among the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and he picked [it] up and gave [it] into the hands of the one clothed in linen, and he took [it] and left.
8 And there appeared to be to the cherubim a form of a human hand under their wings.
9 And I saw, and behold four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside one cherub and one wheel beside one cherub, and the appearance of the wheels was like the appearance of crystal.
10 As for their appearance-the four of them had one likeness, as a wheel would be within a wheel.
11 When they went, they would go toward their four sides, they would not turn when they would go, for [to] the place where the head would turn, after him they would go; they would not turn when they went.
12 And all their flesh and their backs and their hubs and their wings, and the wheels were full of colors all around, [so it was] to their four wheels.
13 To the wheels, to them was called hagalgal to my ears.
14 Now each one had four faces; the face of one was the face of the cherub, and the face of the second was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
15 And the cherubim were lifted; it was the living being that I had seen by the river Chebar.
16 And when the cherubim went, the wheels would go beside them, and when the cherubirn would lift their wings to rise off the earth, the wheels, too, did not turn away from [being] beside them.
17 When they stood, they would stand, and when they would rise, they would rise with them, for the will of the living being was in them.
18 Then the glory of the Lord went out from upon the threshold of the House, and it stood on the cherubim.
19 And the cherubim raised their wings and lifted themselves from the earth, before my eyes, when they left, and the wheels corresponded to them, and it stood at the entrance of the eastern gate of the House of the Lord, and the glory of the God of Israel was upon them from above.
20 It was the living being that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar, and I knew that they were cherubim.
21 Four faces each for every one, and four wings for every one, and the likeness of the hands of a man was beneath their wings.
22 As for the likeness of their faces-those were the faces that I saw by the river Chebar-their appearance and themselves; each one would go in the direction he was facing.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
