It contains Moses’ farewell speeches to the Israelites. Restating the laws of the Torah, the history of the Israelites, and the covenant between G-d and Israel.

The important emphasis on following God’s commandments, the love of G-d for Israel, and the blessings and curses that will come upon Israel depending on their obedience or disobedience.

Another Practical Application Chapter 23 of Deuteronomy is Spoken

Our Learning Has No Ending Unless You Are Not Willing

If you used to pray, sing or praise G-d in toilets and other filthy places, be it known that those places are not pure and are unacceptable.

*The same applies to Mount Calvary or Golgotha “Place of Skull,” a very impure place. Hence, rendering Jesus being offered as a sacrifice at such places does not please G-d at all; let alone human sacrifice is an abomination!

A man shall not marry the wife of his father; and he shall not uncover the robe of his father.
23:1
A man with crushed testicles or a severed organ shall not enter the congregation of Hashem.
23:2
A mamzer shall not enter the congregation of Hashem, even his tenth generation shall not enter the congregation of Hashem.
23:3
An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter the congregation of Hashem, even their tenth generation shall not enter the congregation of Hashem, to eternity,
:4
because of the fact that they did not greet you with bread and water on the road when you were leaving Egypt, and because he hired against you Balaam son of Beor, of Pethor, Aram Naharaim, to curse you.
:5
But Hashem, your God, refused to listen to Balaam, and Hashem, your God, reversed the curse to a blessing for you, because Hashem, your God, loved you.
:6
You shall not seek their peace or their welfare, all your days, forever.
:7
You shall have a shovel in addition to your weapons, and it will be that when you sit outside, you shall dig with it; you shall go back and cover your excrement.
:14
For Hashem, your God, walks in the midst of your camp to rescue you and to deliver your enemies before you; so your camp shall be holy, so that He will not see a shameful thing among you and turn away from behind you.
:15
You shall not cause your brother to take interest, interest of money or interest of food, interest of anything that he may take as interest.
:20
You may cause a gentile to take interest, but you may not cause your brother to take interest, so that Hashem, your God, will bless you in your every undertaking on the Land to which you are coming, to possess it.
:21
When you make a vow to Hashem, your God, you shall not be late in paying it, for Hashem, your God, will demand it of you, and there will be a sin in you.
:22
If you refrain from vowing, there will be no sin in you.
:23
You shall observe and carry out what emerges from your lips, just as you vowed a voluntary gift to Hashem, your God, whatever you spoke with your mouth.
:24
When you come into the vineyard of your fellow, you may eat grapes as is your desire, to your fill, but you may not put into your vessel.
:25
When you come into the standing grain of your fellow, you may pluck ears with your hand, but you may not lift a sickle against the standing grain of your fellow.
:26

1 A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor shall he uncover the corner of his father’s [cloak].
2 [A man] with injured testicles or whose member is cut, may not enter the assembly of the Lord.
3 A bastard shall not enter the assembly of the Lord; even the tenth generation shall not enter the assembly of the Lord.
4 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter the assembly of the Lord; even the tenth generation shall never enter the assembly of the Lord.
5 Because they did not greet you with bread and water on the way, when you left Egypt, and because he [the people of Moab] hired Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor in Aram Naharaim against you, to curse you.
6 But the Lord, your God, did not want to listen to Balaam. So the Lord, your God, transformed the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord, your God, loves you.
7 You shall not ever seek out their welfare or their good, all your days.
8 You shall not despise an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not despise an Egyptian, for you were a sojourner in his land.
9 Children who are born to them [in] the third generation may enter the assembly of the Lord.
10 When a camp goes out against your enemies, you shall beware of everything evil.
11 If there is among you a man who is unclean because of a nocturnal emission, he shall go outside the camp. He shall not come within the camp.
12 And it shall be, towards evening, he shall bathe in water, and when the sun sets, he may come within the camp.
13 And you shall have a designated place outside the camp, so that you can go out there [to use it as a privy].
14 And you shall keep a stake in addition to your weapons; and it shall be, when you sit down outside [to relieve yourself], you shall dig with it, and you shall return and cover your excrement.
15 For the Lord, your God, goes along in the midst of your camp, to rescue you and to deliver your enemies before you. [Therefore,] your camp shall be holy, so that He should not see anything unseemly among you and would turn away from you.
16 You shall not deliver a slave to his master if he seeks refuge with you from his master.
17 [Rather,] he shall [be allowed to] reside among you, wherever he chooses within any of your cities, where it is good for him. You shall not oppress him.
18 There shall not be a prostitute of the daughters of Israel, and there shall not be a male prostitute of the sons of Israel.
19 You shall not bring a prostitute’s fee or the price of a dog, to the House of the Lord, your God, for any vow, because both of them are an abomination to the Lord, your God.
20 You shall not give interest to your brother, [whether it be] interest on money, interest on food or interest on any [other] item for which interest is [normally] taken.
21 You may [however,] give interest to a gentile, but to your brother you shall not give interest, in order that the Lord, your God, shall bless you in every one of your endeavors on the land to which you are coming to possess.
22 When you make a vow to the Lord, your God, you shall not delay in paying it, for the Lord, your God, will demand it of you, and it will be [counted as] a sin for you.
23 But if you shall refrain from making vows, you will have no sin.
24 Observe and do what is emitted from your lips just as you have pledged to the Lord, your God, as a donation, which you have spoken with your mouth.
25 When you enter your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat as many grapes as you desire, until you are sated, but you shall not put [any] into your vessel.
26 When you enter your neighbor’s standing grain, you may pick the ears with your hand, but you shall not lift a sickle upon your neighbor’s standing grain.

Bible reading in the form of Scripture in pictures can have a profound impact on those who may have never read a chapter in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Viewing pivotal verses in a visual context can deepen one’s understanding of the text and provide a unique perspective. The images may help to illustrate important themes and messages that may not have been as easily grasped through standard reading. Additionally, this method can be particularly beneficial for those who struggle with traditional reading methods or for those who are more visually inclined. The power of visual storytelling has been utilized for centuries, and when paired with the timeless words of Scripture, it has the potential to bring new life and meaning to the ancient text. Ultimately, whatever method one chooses to engage with the Bible, the most important thing is to seek a deeper understanding of God’s word, and to apply it to our lives in a meaningful way.
