THE TORAH
Deuteronomy
DEVARIM
Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Torah
It contains Moses’ farewell speeches to the Israelites. Restating the laws of the Torah, the history of the Israelites, and the covenant between G-d and Israel.
The important emphasis on following God’s commandments, the love of G-d for Israel, and the blessings and curses that will come upon Israel depending on their obedience or disobedience.
Chapter 21
A Very Crucial Chapter in Deuteronomy that is Misquoted and Twisted in the New Testament (NT)
The Ignorance Of Apostle Paul
In this chapter, in detail does it describe the commandments of Murder, woman, wife, son and curse of G-d.
It does not talk about sin offering or sacrifice. Neither about the son of G-d or messiah.
Now, what kind of nonsense does Paul in NT’s Galatians 3:10-14 using v. 23 here for redemption, faith and mocking the law?
“Unsolved Murder”
“Woman of Beautiful Form”
“Wayward and Rebellious Son”
“Hanging and Burial”
If a corpse will be found on the land that Hashem, your God, gives you to posses it, fallen in the field, it was not known who smote him,
21:1
It shall be that the city nearest the corpse, the elders of that city shall take a heifer, with which no work has been done, which has not pulled with a yoke.
21:3
The Kohanim, the offspring of Levi, shall approach, for them has Hashem, your God, chosen to minister to Him and to bless with the Name of Hashem, and according to their word shall be every grievance and every plague.
:5
Atone for Your people Israel that You have redeemed, O Hashem: Do not place innocent blood in the midst of Your people Israel!” Then the blood shall be atoned for them.
:8
When you will go out to war against your enemies, and Hashem, your God, will deliver him into your hand, and you will capture his captivity:
:10
and you will see among its captivity a woman who is beautiful of form, and you will desire her, you may take her to yourself for a wife.
:11
If a man will have two wives, one beloved and one hated, and they bear him sons, the beloved one and the hated one, and the firstborn son is the hated one’s;
:15
then it shall be that on the day that he causes his sons to inherit whatever will be his, he cannot give the right of the firstborn to the son of the beloved one ahead of the son of the hated one, the firstborn.
:16
Rather, he must recognize the firstborn, the son of the hated one, to give him the double portion in all that is found with him; for he is his initial vigor, to him is the right of the firstborn.
:17
If a man will have a wayward and rebellious son, who does not hearken to the voice of his father and the voice of his mother, and they discipline him, but he does not hearken to them;
:18
then his father and mother shall grasp him and take him out to the elders of his city and the gate of his place.
:19
All the men of his city shall pelt him with stones and he shall die; and you shall remove the evil from your midst; and all Israel shall hear and they shall fear.
:21
If a man shall have committed a sin whose judgment is death, he shall be put to death, and you shall hang him on a gallows.
:22
His body shall not remain for the night on the gallows, rather you shall surely bury him on that day, for a hanging person is a curse of God, and you shall not contaminate your Land, which Hashem, your God, gives you as an inheritance.
:23
1 If a slain person be found in the land which the Lord, your God is giving you to possess, lying in the field, [and] it is not known who slew him,
2 then your elders and judges shall go forth, and they shall measure to the cities around the corpse.
3 And it will be, [that from] the city closer to the corpse, the elders of that city shall take a calf with which work has never been done, [and] that has never drawn a yoke,
4 and the elders of that city shall bring the calf down to a rugged valley, which was neither tilled nor sown, and there in the valley, they shall decapitate the calf.
5 And the kohanim, the sons of Levi, shall approach, for the Lord, your God, has chosen them to serve Him and to bless in the Name of the Lord, and by their mouth shall every controversy and every lesion be [judged].
6 And all the elders of that city, who are the nearest to the corpse, shall wash their hands over the calf that was decapitated in the valley;
7 And they shall announce and say, “Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see [this crime].”
8 “Atone for Your people Israel, whom You have redeemed, O Lord, and lay not [the guilt of] innocent blood among your people Israel.” And [so] the blood shall be atoned for them.
9 And you shall abolish the [shedding of] innocent blood from among you, for you shall do what is proper in the eyes of the Lord.
10 If you go out to war against your enemies, and the Lord, your God, will deliver him into your hands, and you take his captives,
11 and you see among the captives a beautiful woman and you desire her, you may take [her] for yourself as a wife.
12 You shall bring her into your home, and she shall shave her head and let her nails grow.
13 And she shall remove the garment of her captivity from upon herself, and stay in your house, and weep for her father and her mother for a full month. After that, you may be intimate with her and possess her, and she will be a wife for you.
14 And it will be, if you do not desire her, then you shall send her away wherever she wishes, but you shall not sell her for money. You shall not keep her as a servant, because you have afflicted her.
15 If a man has two wives-one beloved and the other despised-and they bear him sons, the beloved one and the despised one, and the firstborn son is from the despised one.
16 Then it will be, on the day he [the husband] bequeaths his property to his sons, that he will not be able to give the son of the beloved [wife] birthright precedence over the son of the despised [wife]-the [real] firstborn son.
17 Rather, he must acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the despised [wife] and give him a double share in all that he possesses, because he [this firstborn son] is the first of his strength, then he has the birthright entitlement.
18 If a man has a wayward and rebellious son, who does not obey his father or his mother, and they chasten him, and [he still] does not listen to them,
19 his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city, and to the gate of his place.
20 And they shall say to the elders of his city, “This son of ours is wayward and rebellious; he does not obey us; [he is] a glutton and a guzzler.”
21 And all the men of his city shall pelt him to death with stones, and he shall die. So shall you clear out the evil from among you, and all Israel will listen and fear.
22 If a man commits a sin for which he is sentenced to death, and he is put to death, you shall [then] hang him on a pole.
23 But you shall not leave his body on the pole overnight. Rather, you shall bury him on that [same] day, for a hanging [human corpse] is a blasphemy of God, and you shall not defile your land, which the Lord, your God, is giving you as an inheritance.

TORAH
(Law)
The book of Deuteronomy, also known as Devarim in Hebrew (“Words”), is the fifth book of the Hebrew Bible or the Christian Old Testament. It contains a series of speeches by Moses to the Israelites, just before they are about to enter the promised land, which summarize and expand upon many of the laws and commandments given in the earlier books of the Torah. The word Deuteronomy literally means “second law,” indicating that Moses is rehearsing the law with the Israelites before they enter the land.
The book is often seen as a sort of farewell address by Moses, containing some of his final instructions and blessings to the people he has led for many years. It emphasizes the importance of following G-d’s commandments and remaining faithful to Him, while warning against the dangers of disobedience and idolatry. Overall, Deuteronomy serves as a significant text in the history of Judaism and Christianity, containing many of the foundational beliefs and values of these religions.
